Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“In RLG: Origins, players describe their actions in their own words instead of choosing from a fixed list of options. A central part of the experience is how well the game can understand and respond to the ideas each player brings to it.
Early Access will help us identify situations where an action appears possible but is not yet supported, or where the game interprets a player’s intent differently than expected. Community feedback will be used to improve input recognition and expand the range of actions supported by the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the Early Access period to last approximately one to two months. This schedule may change depending on development and testing progress.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The complete story is planned to consist of three chapters. The Early Access version includes Chapters 1 and 2, while the full version is planned to add Chapter 3, the final chapter of the story.
During Early Access, we also plan to refine how the game interprets free-form actions and improve its support for player ideas based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is playable through Chapters 1 and 2. Its core features—including free-form exploration, conversations and combat, character creation, saving, and retrying—are implemented.
The included story can be played through, while the range of supported free-form actions will continue to be adjusted and improved during Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We do not plan to change the price when the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We welcome feedback about moments when an idea could not be carried out, an input was interpreted differently than intended, or the available actions felt unnecessarily restricted.
Community feedback will help us identify unsupported actions and expressions, improve input recognition, and decide which additional features should be prioritized.”

About This Game

No dialogue options. Your words are the choice.

Beneath a land governed by starlight lies Asteria, the Labyrinth of Oaths.

An oath once sworn to save someone still endures long after the expedition ended, forcing people into roles within a promise that refuses to die.

Choose one of three companions and approach the sealed Fourth Door. You will not advance by clicking through a list of dialogue options.

“Swing a sword. Cast a spell. Use an ability all your own.”

“Pet a cat. Cook a meal. Throw a pickle.”

Your own words become investigation, negotiation, combat, and—eventually—an intervention in the oath itself.

The world will not rewrite itself to please you

AI takes on the roles of GM and characters. The world’s facts, the nature of its enemies, the terms of its oaths, and the consequences of your actions remain governed by fixed rules.

Persuasion cannot make everything possible. A key that never existed will not appear. Evidence you failed to preserve may be lost. Every person you meet has motives they will not abandon just because you asked nicely.

Freedom of action means responsibility for what follows.

Choose one companion. Enter as two.

Each companion carries different knowledge, fears, and secrets. Your choice changes which evidence you can uncover, which words can reach another person, and which answers remain possible when the labyrinth turns hostile.

You cannot bring everyone. A truth hidden on this expedition may reveal itself differently on the next.

A demanding labyrinth expedition

Asteria is not kind to the inattentive. Defeating an enemy is not always enough, and naming the truth is not the same as proving it. You will need to observe, form hypotheses, question your companion’s words, and sometimes create a path without fighting.

Many expeditions will end in tragedy. Even so, careful observation and inventive thinking can open a way forward.

No single golden answer.

The ending is not decided by one final prompt. What you learned, whom you trusted, what you prepared, and which responsibilities you accepted all shape what becomes of the oath.

No ending saves everything.

The path you took becomes a story that belongs only to you and your companion.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

RLG:Origins uses a locally operated generative AI model during play to interpret free-form player input and generate GM narration and character dialogue. AI-generated text does not establish game facts or decide outcomes. A separate deterministic rules system validates actions and controls game-state changes. Generation takes place on the player's device, and player input is not sent to an external AI service.
