About This Demo

WILDERLOCKE takes the high stakes tactical battles of monster-taming JRPG challenges like the Nuzlocke and adds the unpredictability and replayability of the roguelike formula.

The Demo takes you through the first Act (out of three) of a run.

• 60+ monsters to discover and evolve. (over 130 in the full game)

• 120+ varied moves, 75+ versatile passives. (also a lot more in the full game)

• A customisable set of 4 moves and 2 passives for each monster.

• Half of your monster’s stats depend on its species, the others are set by you - build the same monster as a supporting tank or fast damage dealer, depending on what your party needs.

• A fresh take on the iconic JRPG battle system, with a focus on 2v2 mechanics, building synergies and versatile abilities.

• Defeat your opponents with a variety of strategies - protect and strenghten one monster, apply crippling status effects, stall and do damage over time, or simply hit harder and faster.

• Adapt to field conditions like the weather, or set them yourself to advantage your playstyle.

• No randomness in battle (no critical hits, chances to miss, or moves with random secondary effects).

• Errors are costly - lose a monster during a battle and it’s lost forever - lose all of them and your run is over.

• A unique combination of opponents, encounters & monsters each run

• 6 levels of increasing difficulty in the Demo for high replayability.
