About This Game

Retro racing. Modern glow.

Glow Arcade Racer brings back the pure, pick-up-and-play thrill of classic top-down racers — rebuilt in a modern 3D engine with dynamic lighting, glowing neon tracks and effects that would have melted an arcade cabinet.

20 tracks, no two alike.

Race across 12 unique levels, each built around its own twist: raised tracks, bridges, jumps and drops, bouncing surfaces, splitting routes, teleports and boost pads. Master them all, then take on 4 hyper-speed reverse tracks — and 4 bonus tracks that drop you into first person.

Fight for the lead.

Grab pickups as you race — missiles, mines, shields, boosts and more — and use them to claw your way to the front or defend your lead on the final lap.

Build your own.

The full track editor puts every block from the game in your hands. Raised sections, jumps, splits, teleports — if it's in the game, you can build with it.

Racing for everyone.

Play with 1–4 players on keyboard, Xbox controllers or any Steam-compatible controller. Choose classic or simplified controls, a dynamic action cam or a steady classic top-down view, and dial the look from authentic CRT scanlines to crisp modern neon — all the way up to 4K.

No sprawling career mode. No unlock grind. Just fast, simple, retro fun — the way arcade racing used to feel.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

All visual assets, audio, course designs / implementations are human created. The aim was to ensure all creative elements were human created with the majority coming from the original Xbox Indie Game.

Generative AI was used to port between the now defunct Xbox Indie (XGFW) platform to a modern platform (MonoGame) and to move to modern graphics cards (shaders). It was also used to add additional, optional, CRT visual modes and to do non-creative changes including identifying and resolving bugs and optimising play to improve framerate and minimum requirements.
