Why Early Access?

“Cosmic Clicker already provides several days of gameplay, with a complete core progression loop and multiple gameplay systems.

Early Access provides additional time for visual polish, balance improvements, feature development, bug fixing, and community-driven refinement before the full release.

Development priorities include the overall game economy balance, the drill core mechanic, multiplier balance, speedrun features, improved resolution support, and a compact companion mode.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Cosmic Clicker is expected to remain in Early Access for roughly 4 to 6 months, though this timeframe may adjust depending on community feedback and the scope of new features chosen for implementation.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include additional visual polish, refined exploration rewards, improved overall balance, a speedrun mode, an alternative drill mechanic to offer more active gameplay, and a compact companion mode for smaller-window gameplay.

We also plan to focus on general bug fixing, performance refinement, quality-of-life updates, and additional adjustments based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version is fully playable and includes the main progression systems:

- Click-based and passive production
- Buildings
- Tech Cards
- Offline progression
- Exploration across nine planets
- Golden Star events giving buffs
- Ascension progression and permanent upgrades
- Pets
- Tardigrade races (gamble)
- Achievements and statistics
- Automatic save and migration support”

“No price increase is currently planned for the transition from Early Access to the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement will take place through Steam Discussions, reviews, bug reports, feature suggestions, and gameplay feedback.
Player feedback will help identify balance issues, usability problems, bugs, and opportunities for quality-of-life improvements. Development updates will communicate major changes, priorities, and progress throughout Early Access.”
