What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Count Your Sins is a short visual novel centered on psychological suspense and character relationships.

As a solo developer, I hope to use Early Access to gather player feedback on story pacing, character development, interactive choices, and audiovisual presentation. Through ongoing updates, I aim to refine the overall experience while giving players an opportunity to contribute to the game's development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect the Early Access period to last approximately 3–6 months.

As this is a solo-developed project, the actual timeline may be affected by story revisions, art production, and testing feedback. If development plans change, I will keep players informed through Steam announcements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version will primarily focus on a linear, chapter-based narrative experience.

For the full release, I plan to expand the existing main storyline with additional branches and endings, further refine character development, story pacing, and the impact of player choices. I also plan to continue improving character sprites, CG artwork, sound effects, the user interface, and visual presentation.

These are my current development goals, and specific details may change depending on development progress and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version offers a short, single-player visual novel experience, including the completed first chapter of the main storyline, character dialogue, interactive choices, and essential features such as dialogue history, saving, and loading.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to increase the price after the game leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players can share their thoughts through Steam Community discussions and game reviews. Feedback on bugs, text issues, and audiovisual presentation problems encountered during gameplay is also welcome.

I will continue to pay attention to player feedback on story pacing, character development, and interactive elements, and make improvements based on the actual development progress.

For discussions that may contain story spoilers, I encourage players to mark them accordingly.”

About This Game

What if I were to strip the person who once saved me of everything,

leaving her with no choice but to rely solely on me—

And then, cast her aside with my own hands?

What would happen then?

A dark yuri visual novel.

A single accidental death drags a group of students into a web of secrets from which there is no turning back.

Lies, silence, judgment, and the incriminating evidence they hold against one another gradually transform the already complex relationship between Situ Yang and Su Ying.

But when hatred, dependency, desire, and guilt become inextricably intertwined—

Can they still tell the difference:

Is it hatred that makes them unable to let go,

Or is it the inability to let go that makes them label it all as hatred?
