At 02:47, the comm-link drags detective Kade Katano out of her apartment. Elias Veyr, the executive who sold digital immortality, has been found dead in his penthouse: two hundred floors up, a sealed window wall, twelve bodyguards who saw nothing and cameras that recorded a man dying alone. No trauma. No toxins. Every neural function ceased at once, like a light someone switched off.

That doesn't happen. Tonight, explaining why it happened is your job.

PRECINCT 2099 is a noir investigation visual novel set in a future that no longer tells death and disconnection apart.

REALLY INVESTIGATE

Work the crime scene through Kade's ocular implant: scan the body, crack encrypted terminals, decide what deserves a second look. What you find — and what you miss — opens and closes dialogue, suspicions and endings.

DECIDE WHO KADE IS

Calibrate her operative profile by assigning seven dice rolls across STRENGTH, DEXTERITY, INTELLIGENCE, CODE, PERCEPTION, NERVE and HEALTH. There is no morality meter: there is tone. Professional, cynical or cold — the city reacts to how you speak, not how good you are.

THE DICE DECIDE WITH YOU

2d6 + attribute skill checks, rolled in the open, with consequences written into the story. A failed cold read isn't a game-over screen: it's another scene.

ONE COMPLETE CASE

Ninety minutes to two hours of investigation with three distinct endings. All three close the file: whatever you choose, this night ends.
