About This Game

Grave New World is a tactical roguelike that combines block placement, deckbuilding, and strategic army battles in a dark Lovecraftian setting.

Every run challenges you to build a unique deck of shape cards, place them efficiently on the board, and survive against ever-growing hordes of undead. Every decision matters: expand your territory, strengthen your armies, reshape the battlefield, and create powerful synergies between your cards.

Place. Build. Fight.

Each run consists of two interconnected phases.

Tactical Placement

Place and rotate shape cards representing forests, cemeteries, villages, and other structures. Every building brings unique abilities: recruit new troops, spread corrupted terrain, generate resources, or permanently transform nearby tiles. At the same time, you must carefully position enemy armies to minimize the threat they pose.

Strategic Battles

When the board is full, war begins.

Command your armies in the order you choose and exploit the rock-paper-scissors combat system to defeat stronger enemies with superior tactics. Merge your forces, preserve valuable units, and plan every attack to maximize your chances of survival.

Build Your Cult

Between battles you'll visit the Card Shop to spend resources, discover new cards, reroll the selection, and craft increasingly powerful builds. Unlock new terrain, buildings, and strategies as every run evolves in a different direction.
