What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Elixonomy is built around interconnected systems: customer needs, ingredient availability, brewing, pricing, weather, supply and demand, recurring characters, and the long-term growth of your shop. Early Access will allow us to see how real players approach these systems and use that feedback to improve balance, pacing, clarity, accessibility, and progression.
The central potion-shop experience is already playable. We want to develop it into a deeper, more varied campaign together with players while preserving Elixonomy’s focus on thoughtful decisions rather than memorizing one perfect solution.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current planning range is approximately 12–18 months. This is a development estimate rather than a guaranteed release date; quality, stability, and player feedback will determine when Elixonomy is ready to leave Early Access.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to expand and refine Elixonomy’s campaign toward its complete 50-day sandbox experience. This includes additional customers and recurring character stories, ingredients, potions, shop improvements, expeditions, economic events, meaningful choices, and more variation between campaigns.
We also plan to continue improving onboarding, accessibility, balancing, interface clarity, animation, audio, and overall presentation. The exact priorities may change in response to player feedback, testing, and what works best for the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes the core potion-shop loop, gathering and gardening, authored formulas and experimental brewing, customer simulation, pricing and inventory, staff, research, shop improvements, expeditions, weather, regional events, factions, recurring-character stories, a fifty-day campaign, and post-campaign Endless play. English is the currently confirmed language, and Windows is the currently confirmed platform. Players may still encounter bugs, balance issues, rough transitions, and presentation problems while development continues.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The Early Access price will reflect the amount of content available at that stage of development. We may increase the price as substantial content and features are added, and we currently expect the final version to be priced higher than the initial Early Access release.
Any planned price changes will be communicated in advance. Players who purchase Elixonomy during Early Access will receive the full version when it is released without needing to purchase the game again.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community through Steam discussions, development updates, patch notes, playtesting, and periodic votes about potential features and development priorities.
We also plan to provide an in-game feedback button where players can report problems, describe confusing moments, and suggest features without leaving the game. Community votes and suggestions will help inform our roadmap, but they will be considered alongside technical feasibility, balance, accessibility, and Elixonomy’s overall vision.
We want to explain what we are working on, share how feedback is influencing development, and give players opportunities to help us improve the shop-management experience throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

Plan each morning, gather and grow ingredients, brew remedies, choose what reaches the shelf, set prices, and serve customers with different needs and budgets. Every day asks you to decide what to make, what to save, and how to respond when the market changes.

A potion can be technically suitable and still be too expensive, poorly matched, or unavailable. Customers remember whether your shop helped them, and recurring visitors return with requests and consequences shaped by earlier decisions.

The Elixonomy

  • Plan stock around visible customer needs and tomorrow's forecast.

  • Gather fragile magical materials and cultivate an apothecary garden.

  • Brew manually or use accessible automatic options without punitive early failure.

  • Set prices and prepare shelves for customers with individual budgets and preferences.

  • Respond to weather, demand, supply pressure, and regional events.

  • Meet recurring characters and make readable choices with lasting effects.

  • Review sales, profit, missed opportunities, and practical guidance after each day.

Elixonomy rewards adaptation and understanding—not memorizing one perfect solution.
