About This Game

Superchess is chess evolved. Every piece has hit points, attack power, and unique abilities. A Knight doesn't just move in an L — it can charge, dealing full damage on impact, or unleash a fire charge that leaves opponents burning. A Queen can curse the enemy. A Rook can fortify. A Pawn can self-destruct and take everything nearby with it.

The board you know is still there. The rules you've learned still apply. But now every move is a decision with teeth.

Superchess keeps the spatial logic of chess intact — piece movement, board control, positioning — and adds a full combat layer on top.

• Pieces have HP and attack stats — trading isn't automatic, it's a risk calculation

• Status effects change the board state: burning pieces take damage each turn, frozen pieces are locked in place, poisoned pieces take damage when they move or attack, trampled pieces struggle to move

• Cooldown-based abilities reward planning ahead — a Knight charge telegraphed a turn early is a Knight you can avoid

• Timed matches with configurable time controls add pressure to every decision
