What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The core loop is finished and fun, but a game about escalating chaos needs a lot of eyes on it. I want player feedback on difficulty curve, quota balance, and which events land before I commit to the final shape of the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“6 months ~ a year. It will stay in Early Access until it is where I want it, which depends on player feedback and how much content I can add in that time.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More customers, more events, more upgrades and machines, and more of the laundromat itself to unlock. I also want deeper progression between runs and refined balance across the difficulty curve.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable solo or with up to 4 players. There are currently multiple events, many different customer types, dozens of upgrades, and 4 machines, plus proximity voice chat and Steam leaderboards.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Not during no.. The price may increase at 1.0 as more content is added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussion boards and my Discord, where players can report bugs and suggest events, customers and upgrades. I read everything and plan to add community ideas to the game.”

About This Game

LAUNDRO is a 1–4 player co-op game about running a laundromat. Wash, dry and fold whatever comes through the door, hit the quota, and see how many shifts you can survive.

DO THE LAUNDRY

Customers drop off bags. Unpack them, run the right wash and dry cycles, repack the order, and hand it back before it expires. Every garment, basket and machine is physics-driven, so anything you are carrying is something you can drop. Split the work with up to three others, with proximity voice chat so you can hear exactly how badly it is going.

HIT THE QUOTA

Every shift has a number. Everything you earn goes to that number first, and whatever is left over buys machines, space, and speed for tomorrow. Miss it once and the whole crew starts again at Shift 1.

EXPECT THE WORST

Not every customer is a customer. Not every bag holds clothes. Strange visitors, broken windows, rare events and completely unnecessary violence can interrupt the workday without warning. Keep folding. Pretend it is fine.

CHANGE OF SCENERY

You do not get to pick where you work. Each shift drops you somewhere new, with its own layout, its own equipment and its own regulars. Some of them ask very little of you. Some of them ask considerably more.

There is no ending. There is only the next shift.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

LAUNDRO contains occasional stylized cartoon violence. Players and NPCs may use firearms, be shot, and collapse with ragdoll physics. Some blood is shown, but there is no realistic gore. Also includes brief threats and unsettling dark sequences.
