Within the Inner Palace is an AI-enhanced, text-based life simulation set in a fictional imperial court.

You play as the daughter of a court official, entering the inner palace as an imperial consort. From the moment you step inside, your fate is no longer yours alone: your family's honor, political standing, and future may rise or fall with your favor at court.

Build relationships with the emperor, empress, fellow consorts, servants, officials, physicians, relatives, and many others whose interests are tangled with your own. Some may become allies, confidantes, rivals, tools, or enemies. Others may remember a kindness, hold a grudge, betray you, protect you, or draw you into events you never expected.

The game combines extensive rule-based simulation with AI-enhanced free-form interaction. Instead of choosing only from preset dialogue options, you can speak to characters in your own words. Conversations can affect favor, trust, suspicion, rivalry, and hidden relationship states, while also unlocking special responses, secret branches, and unexpected events.

A memory system records important conversations, promises, conflicts, favors, humiliations, and emotional impressions. Characters can remember what happened between you, and their attitudes may change over time according to their personality, status, ambitions, and circumstances.

Your life in the palace is shaped by etiquette, rank, household management, personal development, alliances, rivalry, family interests, pregnancy and children, political struggles, and unfolding consequences. You may seek favor, protect your clan, climb the hierarchy, survive quietly, or turn against the very order that brought you into the palace.

You can follow the path expected of an imperial consort or overthrow it entirely and reach a fate no one planned for you.
