The city is the easy part. Making it move isn't.

Traffic Architect is a relaxing but deep traffic-management sim. Buildings go up, demand grows, and the network underneath has to carry it: lay out roads, shape junctions, time the lights — then watch thousands of individually simulated cars find every flaw you missed. Spot the jam, find the cause, rebuild the bottleneck — and watch the city flow again. Then demand grows, and it starts all over.

Or take the whole thing into your own hands. In Creative mode you place the buildings too — design the city and the network together, exactly the way you want them.

Design the network

• Upgrade roads through 10 tiers — from gravel tracks to boulevards and multi-lane highways

• Cross rivers and mountains with bridges and tunnels, then cross your own roads with multi-level interchanges

• Shape the flow with one-way streets, turn restrictions and per-junction rules

• Tune traffic lights with full signal-timing control, phase by phase

Realistic traffic, simulated car by car

• Every vehicle is simulated: follow a single car across town and see the jam from inside it

• A congestion heat-map shows exactly where the network hurts — info overlays tell you why

• Over two dozen live metrics: congestion, queued cars, average trip time, cars per road km, transit share, car trips saved

• Every metric charted across the whole run, so you can see the exact moment a new interchange fixed things — or broke them

Move beyond the car

• Bus lines with routes and stops that take cars off the road

• Passenger rail and underground metro with stations, level crossings and tunnels

• Passengers route across your entire network — bus, rail, metro, transfers included. Build connections, and people will use them.

• Freight runs point-to-point — dedicate a line, connect industry to demand, and the trucks come off your roads.

Build it your way

• Creative mode: place buildings yourself, no budget and no way to lose — a sandbox for the city you've been picturing

• Full map editor: sculpt terrain, rivers, mountains and lakes, then play real runs on your own maps

• Share your maps on Steam Workshop — and play everyone else's

• Large maps up to 18×18 km, with dense downtown districts

• Scenarios, quests and stage progression when you want the pressure back

• Multiple cities, photo mode, Steam achievements and cloud saves

The city will keep growing either way. Whether it keeps moving is up to you.
