On the day of his great-grandfather’s ancestral rite, high school student Seo Do-gyeong sets off for school as usual. As he passes the village’s ancient dangsan tree—a sacred guardian tree—the old brass bell he has carried since childhood rings for the very first time.

From that moment on, the familiar halls of his school begin to twist into something strange. Classrooms emptied of students. An old videotape that should not exist within the school. Announcements calling Do-gyeong by another name. The more desperately he searches for a way home, the further the path leads him away from the school—and toward a village of the dead beyond the dangsan tree.

Ring the brass bell to reveal traces hidden beneath ordinary surroundings. Examine ominous objects, uncover clues, and solve puzzles tied to ancestral rites and forgotten rituals. As Do-gyeong ventures deeper, the buried history of his family slowly comes to light.

Twelve Knots is a story-driven 2D horror adventure set in a modern Korean school and steeped in Korean folk beliefs, exploring guilt and memories passed down through generations.
