About This Game

Beneath the Nine Skies: Immortal Stratagems is a cultivation grand strategy game. Play any role in the world — sect disciple, imperial minister, noble clan scion, or rogue cultivator of the wilds — and walk your own path from a humble Qi Refining novice to the master of a sect, in a living world that never stops simulating, until the day you ascend.

The game is still in active development: combat presentation and terrain visuals are not yet fully polished, and the screenshots and trailer on this page will be updated regularly.

A Living World That Doesn't Revolve Around You

Every NPC has their own goals and daily schedule: some single-mindedly seek the Dao and ascension, some crave power and pleasure, others are driven by love or vengeance. Today's stranger may be tomorrow's mortal enemy; the small-time cultivator in the market may lead a sect ten years from now — anyone can become your pawn, your companion, or your rival. Every event you encounter is set in motion by another NPC's actions.

Spiritual qi, spirit stone mines, spirit herbs, and ore veins are scattered across the land, and geographic differences breed trade, blockades, and war. And your knowledge of the world is limited by your intelligence: what you believe may not be what is true.

Fated Mode: Start at the Legendary Moment

Fated Mode turns the opening promises of web novels directly into playable scenarios: The Sect Gave Me Half a Worthless Tome — I Rewrote It Into the Sect's Pinnacle Art; Awakening the Ancestral Jade Codex: Many Children, Many Blessings, Fortune Upon My Line

Each scenario comes with a unique identity, a golden finger, and early goals — the payoff begins the moment you start.

In Custom Mode, you can freely adjust the world's peak starting power, faction density, resource patterns, and more — generating a cultivation landscape that is yours alone, set among the real mountains and rivers of China.

Every Run Is a New World

Each new game regenerates the world: not just faction layouts and regional yields — even alchemy and forging recipes, the names of herbs, and the effects of cultivation arts change every run. No more looking up guides (mostly because guides won't help anymore!) — explore for yourself.

Ascension Is the Finish Line

Breakthroughs demand arts, pills, sometimes even formations and guardians — and inner demons may strike when you are weakest. Lifespan is finite; stagnation is a slow death. Every discipline — arts, alchemy, forging, talismans, formations — can be learned and passed down: apprentice yourself to a master, receive teachings through spiritual sense, or piece together fragmented manuals.

Breakthroughs Need Resources

Resources can be traded, produced, commissioned, or unearthed from ancient ruins — or you can blockade trade routes, abduct talents, plant spies, even start a war over them. But at what cost?

Favors and Schemes

Masters and disciples, sectmates, Dao companions, kindred spirits — imparting arts, guarding breakthroughs, adventuring side by side; every favor leaves its mark. Marriages seal alliances, and treaties are settled at the banquet table. Facing captives, you can threaten them, win them with office and gold, or turn an enemy into your right hand. And the quieter tools: false intelligence, sowing discord, assassination — rewriting the balance of power without shedding a drop of blood.

Raising the Next Generation

Your legacy passes down the generations: when your character dies, you can continue playing as their child. Born with poor spiritual roots? Perhaps your children will do better.

From the March to the Duel

Armies cross mountains and ford rivers to intercept, reinforce, and besiege; in battle, arts, treasures, talismans, and formations decide the victor. A single high-level cultivator can stand against a thousand troops — or die drained of spiritual power, caught in an encirclement or an ambush formation.

Steam Workshop

We plan to open the Workshop as soon as possible after launch: custom character appearances, animations, and personalities; new arts, equipment, and treasures; even your own Fated scenarios and mechanics — share your power fantasy with other players.

The world won't wait for you. Come down from the mountain!
