Why Early Access?

“Raven Errant is designed to be highly moddable. Early Access is a way to engage with the community of players for feedback and requests whilst the core features are expanded.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“About 6 months for the planned features to be finalized, this is mostly new warband factions and additional weapons, armor and equipment. Depending on the level of player feedback and feature/gameplay requests this could be longer. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version of the game, I plan to increase the number of available teams/factions for the player to enlist or fight with (currently 8 at the 11th Century, and planning on more, going up to around the 15th Century), and much more selection of weapons and armor. In additional this equipment will be more customizable. Modding support will be added, not just for new cosmetics but also for entire new gameplay modes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game works as planned and the majority of the gameplay mechanics are implemented. 8 warband factions are available at the start of Early Access, going up to the 11th Century. There are more factions planned, and weapons and armor lists are to be increased.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will increase after Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback through the official Steam forums will be very important to improve and expand on gameplay, mechanics and features. Feature requests are always welcome.”
