The 1920s. You promise investors a fortune, then use the next person's deposit to pay the last. Every new investor brings cash and another promise you must keep. How big can you grow the scheme before it is time to leave?

Bigger promises. Bigger bills.

Set the returns you promise. Spend your limited actions on recruitment, calming investors or controlling suspicion. Higher promises can bring more cash through the door, but they also make the next bill harder to pay. The money coming in is borrowed. Your next payout is real.

Build your con around the cards you get

Draft operating methods to shape your plan: cheaper recruitment, cash moved into your stash, or a faster getaway. Adapt to the investors who turn up and the crises ahead. Earn notoriety to unlock new identities between runs. The Preacher starts with a believer; the Ghost needs fewer payouts to escape. A different opening changes how far you dare to push.

Starting your getaway does not stop the bills

Choose when to leave, then keep making payouts until you actually escape. Leave early with a smaller haul, or stay for one more month and risk losing your chance. Booking the boat is only the start.
