PicRand is an image browsing and inspiration management tool built for creators.
From browsing massive image libraries and AI-powered search to collecting, referencing, analyzing, and organizing images, PicRand brings the essential tools of your creative workflow together in one place.

Masonry Browsing

• A masonry-style gallery with virtual scrolling — smoothly browse 100,000+ images without pagination;

• Supports 18 image and video formats, including PSD / GIF / AVIF / MP4 — just open a folder and start browsing;

• No need to add subfolders one by one: select a root folder and PicRand automatically scans every level, bringing all your scattered images into one pool.

Creative Sorting

• Go beyond conventional sorting with random seeds, color attributes, and visual / content similarity chains — rearrange your library to match the way you think.

Floating Reference Window

• Pop any image out into its own reference window — animated GIFs included — with always-on-top, click-through, adjustable transparency, zoom, and flip;

• Add "New Reference Board" to the system context menu and open a reference window directly from File Explorer, without launching PicRand.
  

Inspiration Board

• Create pinboards freely and drop images into them as you browse, so no idea slips away. Switch between boards with a shortcut and batch-export them with one click.

Search & Filter

• A built-in CLIP vision model powers natural-language AI search. Type "rainy city", "black-and-white photo", or "blue tones" to quickly find matching images;

• Search by image: send a selected image to different reverse image search engines to find the original, discover related material, or trace it back to its source and author;

• Filter by aspect ratio, notes, star rating, impression color, and more to quickly find the images that match your criteria.

Image Viewer

• Double-click to open the original instantly; zoom in and a pixel grid appears to reveal every detail;

• Enter slideshow mode, open the file's location, or open images and videos with your system's default apps — all with a single click.

Graphics Audit

• Open the Graphics Audit panel in the image viewer to analyze an image's color from the overall picture down to individual pixels;

• Analyze average color, HSV distribution, RGB and luminance histograms, H–S color wheel, and more. Sample individual pixels or regions and copy HEX, RGB, or HSV values with one click;

• Extract dominant colors and visualize them as a color ring based on their proportions, turning a palette from a visual impression into clear, reusable color data;

• Quickly inspect resolution, color space, bit depth, file size, and other metadata, with a power-of-two (POT) check.

Customization

• Toggle reverse image search, AI search, pinboards, original-image preloading, and more on or off;

• Fine-tune your masonry layout settings, switch to dark mode, or set a custom background image for a browsing experience that fits your workflow.
