A blackjack roguelike where hands pay for their shape, not just their total. Build absurd combos from upgrades and cards that have no business in a deck, then take five dealers for everything they’ve got. The insurance is not entirely legal.

About This Game

Your bankroll is your health bar.

It is also your score, your shop budget and your progress bar. Spend it on upgrades and you sit down weaker. Hold onto it and you never make the number. Five dealers, one pile of money, and nowhere else to get more.

Hit, stand, double down. You know the game. But you do not know this game.

The total is only half of the equation.

A twenty-one is a twenty-one. A twenty-one made of the six, seven and eight of hearts is a straight flush, and that is not just money, that is your rent.

Pairs, straights, flushes, four of a kind, full houses, a hand of nothing but royalty, a hand of four cards in four different suits, each pays a multiplier of its own. They all stack, and the upgrades you buy decide which family pays double. Chain Reaction pays you purely for the stacking, which is exactly as irresponsible as it sounds.

Every table also posts a contract: make a flush, survive a five-card hand, win four in a row without busting. The house asking you to play for a shape instead of a number, and paying cash when you manage it.

Cards that should never be in a deck

  • A Rainbow Nine, that has all four suits in one, so it can never break your flush.

  • A Ladder Six, that becomes whatever number your run was missing.

  • A Split Seven, that counts as two sevens. Why not, the casino loves chaos. And for you to go bust.

  • A Void Card, that counts as absolutely nothing, but somehow is still one of the best cards in the game.

  • An Iron Eight, that makes your first bust nothing but a shrug.

You unlock more cards the longer you play, ensuring maximum enjoyment at the table. The house wants you to come back, after all.

Seven Decks. Six Ascensions.

Seven unique decks to play, requiring different strategies. Want to go basic? The House Deck is for you. Going crazy? Take a shot at the Crazy Deck.

Beat a deck? You are not done yet. The house wants you back. And they are serious about it. They are willing to offer you a bigger challenge. Have you gotten what it takes?

The house has its thoughts.

The house does not appreciate your run for their money. And they will fight back. They may throw hard challenges at you. They might want a rake from all your earnings. And one thing is for sure - every table wants more money.

Features in a list, this is a store page after all.

  • Combo blackjack. Watch your number grow exponentially. Buy upgrades, new cards and build combos.

  • Seven Decks. Six Ascensions. Five named bosses. Ten different house rules.

  • The house will not let you go. The house might award you a star for your efforts, but we are willing to keep going.

  • A seed system. Found an overpowered seed? Share it with your friends. Let them have a shot.

  • Controller support. Play from the couch. At your desk. Whatever floats your boat.

  • An authentic retro-aesthetic. We aren't your normal retro-style game. Ours actually is. Buying the game gives you copies of the game that run on computers from the 90s. Same game, old hardware. Just look at the directory where the game is installed.

About the title

There is no real money to be made in this game. No wager, no prize, and nothing to buy with your winnings except worse decisions. It is a game about the shape of blackjack, played for nothing but the run.

The insurance is fictional. So is the fraud.
