Race the OUTSIDE of the pipe. Gravity pulls you around the tube, so holding the top is the whole skill. Every track is grown from a seed, so no two are the same. Draft, boost, shoot and climb six leagues in a neon anti-gravity racer built around one more run.

About This Game

YOU RACE ON THE OUTSIDE OF A PIPE.

You’re racing a hovering ship on the outside of a giant pipe. Gravity is always trying to pull you down. Staying on top is the fastest line.

Sliding down the side is not a crash. There is no wall unless your too ahead, no reset, no penalty. You can climb back up from anywhere, including underneath. It costs you seconds — nothing else, except maybe a pickup.

EVERY TRACK IS GROWN, NOT DRAWN

Every track begins with a seed. From there, the pipe grows — sweeping curves, corkscrews, pretzels, climbs, drops, changing widths, and twists you won’t see coming.

Choose GROUND, SKY, SPACE or CANYON, then let the Race Lab build the rest.

Roll another seed and the whole thing changes. New pipe. New racing line. New problems to solve.

No two races need to feel the same. Don’t like the track? Reroll it. Love it? Save the seed. Race it again.

RACE LAB

Build a one-off race and reroll the pipe until a layout looks fun. Pick the environment, the race type, the intensity, the pipe width, and how wild the corkscrews get. Save the ones worth keeping, or playing online with friends.

SIX LEAGUES, AND A PURSE

Start in BRONZE with a stock craft and work up through SILVER, GOLD, PLATINUM, DIAMOND and HYPER. Win money, spend it in the Garage, come back for the race that beat you.

Six ways to run a track:

  • Classic Race — the field, the flag, the podium

  • Boost Rush — speed is the only thing that scores

  • Gun Run — bring ammo

  • Hazard Gauntlet — the pipe is trying to stop you

  • Pacifist Run — finish without firing a shot

  • Rival Duel — one opponent, no hiding

THE GARAGE

Five craft, from the forgiving PIPE RUNNER up to the SPEEDER D. Six upgrade lines — ENGINE, THRUSTERS, STABILIZERS, HULL PLATING, MAGNET and SHOCK COIL — that change how the craft sits on the pipe, not just how fast the number goes.

FIGHT FOR THE LINE

Draft behind a rival to close a gap. Grab a BOOST for a surge that is bigger when you are behind. Pick up AMMO for the cannon, a SHOCK that stuns everyone down the pipe, or a BOUNTY straight into your earnings.

Hold one item at a time: a SHIELD that eats every hit, an AUTOPILOT that drives the perfect line, a TAIL MINE that cannot catch you, or a JAMMER that makes you unlockable.

ALSO IN THE BOX

  • Steam leaderboards, and a ghost of your own best run

  • A four-minute tutorial that starts with gravity switched OFF so you can see the shape you are riding

  • A screenshot key and a photo browser, because the tracks are worth it

  • An in-game radio

  • Split-screen for two players, and online racing through Steam.

About The Developer

HyperPipes started as a game made by BeefCakePie built in Project Spark on Xbox ten years ago, under the name BeefCakePie. I've always wanted to make a game, and this year I finally sat down and rebuilt it from scratch in Godot — pipes, racing, and all. This one's for anyone who's ever thought "someday I'll make a game" and just needed a push.
