About This Game

Nordic Vanlife is a first-person open-world vanlife game set in the Finnish countryside. Build your own camper van, live on the road, take odd jobs for money and explore Finland — alone or with friends.

You are Jari Mäkinen. Your home has burned down, most of what you owned is gone, and an empty cargo van is about the closest thing you have to a fresh start.

So you make it your home.

Build the van yourself. Install wall panels, furniture, storage, electricity and equipment. Buy tools and supplies, organize your belongings and slowly turn an empty metal box into a camper built exactly the way you want it.

Then hit the road.

Drive gravel roads and two-lane highways, explore forests and villages, stop at quiet lakes and camp almost anywhere. Cook your meals, find work when you need money and keep yourself — and your van — running.

Fuel, water, electricity, food and fatigue all matter. The weather turns. Things break. And the moose does not wait.

You run out of diesel on a forest road. You forget to fill the water tank. Your batteries are dead. You take a job in a village because you spent your last money upgrading the van.

Then you find a quiet lake, cook dinner beside the water and sleep where you parked.

Tomorrow you do it all again.

Spend carefully, or don't.

A full fuel tank is useful.

So is a new cabinet.

Off the grid

Camp almost anywhere: beside a lake, deep in the forest, at a gravel pit or behind a petrol station.

Unload your gear, cook something, watch the sun disappear behind the trees and decide where to go tomorrow.

There is no single route through Nordic Vanlife. Explore, work, build your van and live at your own pace.

Just remember that being far from civilization becomes considerably less relaxing when the fuel gauge reaches zero.

Bad decisions have consequences

Nordic Vanlife gives you freedom — including the freedom to make terrible decisions.

Forget to pay for fuel. Take something that isn't yours. Spend your last euros on something completely unnecessary.

Choices have consequences, and some problems will follow you down the road.

Bring your friends

Bring friends along for the trip in online co-op.

Share the van, split the jobs, build together and explore the countryside. One person drives while another cooks. Someone keeps track of the supplies.

Or nobody does, and you discover 40 kilometres later that the water tank is empty.

Online co-op is in development and will continue expanding during Early Access.
