What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game will be improved over time, with players' feedback being taken into account during the early stages of development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game is planned to remain in Early Access for a maximum of one year”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version will include much more content and improvements across the game, from graphics and visuals to gameplay mechanics.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes the game's core mechanics and main gameplay features, but content and features are still actively being developed. Players can already fish, explore the environment, and use the game's main systems, but not all planned fish species, locations, equipment, and features are included yet. Future updates will add significantly more content and improve existing features, with improvements ranging from graphics and visuals to gameplay mechanics.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Possibly a slight increase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want the community to have a direct impact on the development of the game during Early Access.

Players will be able to provide feedback, report bugs, suggest new features and discuss gameplay through Steam Discussions and our community channels. We will regularly review this feedback and use it to prioritize improvements, balance changes, quality-of-life features and future content.

Community feedback will directly influence our development priorities. For example, if players consistently request improvements to fishing mechanics, fish behavior, equipment, locations or other gameplay systems, we will evaluate these suggestions and may adjust our development roadmap accordingly.

We also plan to involve Early Access players in testing new features and changes. Their feedback will help us identify problems, improve gameplay and determine whether new mechanics are fun and worth keeping. Major changes and planned features will be communicated through Steam announcements and development updates.

We cannot guarantee that every suggestion will be implemented, but we will explain our development decisions where appropriate and aim to make Early Access a collaborative process between the developers and the community. The goal is for the game to evolve based not only on our original plans, but also on the experiences and ideas of the players who play it during Early Access.

About This Game

Finnish Fishing Simulator takes you to the calm lakes and rivers of Finland for realistic fishing in stunning natural scenery. Cast your lure, adjust the distance, let it sink or start reeling right away, and set the hook at the right moment.

Every species behaves in its own way, so every catch is a new challenge. Explore different fishing spots and go after pike, perch, zander, salmon, brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling, Arctic char and burbot — and hunt for the truly rare giants.

Changing weather, the time of day, the northern lights and living Finnish nature make every fishing trip one of a kind.

Take on challenges, break your own records, and experience the atmosphere of Finnish fishing.
