About This Game

Cryptogram is a multiplayer substitution-cipher puzzle game: every puzzle hides a quote, a line, or a saying behind a scrambled alphabet, and it's up to you to crack the code one letter at a time. Solve alone at your own pace, or open a lobby and work the same puzzle with friends in real time — everyone sees the board update live as guesses land, hints get spent, and the last letters click into place.

Play how you want. Free Play gives you unlimited time, unlimited hints, and unlimited solution checks, with full control over difficulty and category — the relaxed way to work through a puzzle. Competitive strips that away: a 5-minute timer, one hint, one check, a random difficulty and category you don't get to pick, and a dedicated leaderboard that only counts competitive results. Chain wins together without leaning on hints or checks and you'll build a streak that pads your score — the longer it runs, the more it's worth, right up until you finally slip.
