About This Game

Critical Failure, Inc. is a comedic fantasy guild-management game about turning preventable disasters into billable heroics.

Recruit a roster of deeply questionable adventurers, assemble three-person teams, equip whatever survived the last expedition, and choose contracts based on risk, reward, and the uncomfortable possibility that your wizard has read the fine print.

Every quest is resolved with visible party power and a d20 roll. Success earns gold, renown, equipment, and increasingly implausible job titles. Failure creates injuries, reduced payouts, and excellent material for the incident ledger.

Manage the least qualified heroes in fantasy

• Recruit heroes from 12 illustrated classes with procedural names, backgrounds, flaws, ambitions, and workplace quirks.
  
• Build cross-class party synergies and equip weapons, armor, and trinkets.
  
• Treat injuries, liquidate suspicious loot, and fund permanent guild departments.

Survive the quarterly review

• Complete a growing board of Grit, Cunning, and Chaos contracts.
  
• Reach the quarterly renown target and face a campaign-ending corporate catastrophe.
  
• Earn liability seals, execute an optional Board Buyout, and purchase permanent Executive Perks using gameplay-only Golden Parachutes.

Automate the paperwork

Every player receives a free party profile and one queued follow-up contract. The optional Operations Automation Pack expands queues, profiles, conditional rules, treatment policies, equipment assignment, and loot liquidation without improving rolls, rewards, or drop rates.
