About This Game

The End of the Sea, Last Summer is a short yet unforgettable visual novel that tells the story of a chance encounter and a farewell over the course of one summer.

"For my final piece of art, I want to paint you.”

Kou Hanezu is a young painter who continues to pursue his dream despite suffering from monochrome disorder, a mysterious illness that slowly drains all color from his vision.

One day, he meets Sora Tsukishiro, a genius biologist who appears as a young girl.

Free-spirited and impossible to pin down, her arrival gradually sets his stagnant life in motion once again.

Under the blue summer sky, they share carefree days, exchange playful banter, and talk about their dreams.

As the colors continue to fade, Kou must decide whether to accept the fate imposed by his illness—or defy it.

This is not a story about making dreams come true.

It is a story about the encounter that brings a dream to its end.

"I want to kill everyone!”

"Everyone who's better than me at painting, everyone who's sneered at me, everyone who's more popular than me, everyone who won't even look at my art, everyone who underestimates me,”

"All of them! I'll kill them all!”
