【Inherit the Archive of Fate, Forgotten by the World】

You were once an ordinary person living on Earth.

An unexpected crossing carries you into a world where gods, spirits, Sequences, and supernatural powers are all real. You belong to no faction, possess no inherited bloodline, and are bound by neither a predetermined Sequence nor an established fate. For that very reason, an ancient existence that has lain dormant for centuries chooses you—the Archive of Fate.

Once, its halls preserved countless bodies of knowledge, rituals, potion formulas, and Sequence legacies. Complete records of all twenty-two Major Arcana paths could be found within its collection.

Now, its treasures have been scattered and every former heir has vanished. The only presence left to answer you is the Afterglow—a fading consciousness with fractured memories and dwindling power.

And you are the Archive of Fate’s sole and final heir.

【Prepare, Embark, and Venture Forth Again】

The game revolves around two interconnected phases: preparing at home and embarking on randomized expeditions.

Organize your deck and inventory → Choose a region → Traverse a randomized map → Face battles and events → Collect cards and materials → Return home → Brew potions → Advance your Sequence → Set out once more

At home, you can refine your deck, manage your inventory and attributes, study alchemical formulas, and plan around the region, time of day, and weather conditions ahead.

Every expedition generates a brand-new side-scrolling map. Choose your path between battles, random events, shops, treasures, rest sites, and formidable enemies as you gather experience, cards, gold, materials, and forgotten knowledge.

Pressing deeper promises greater rewards—but also deadlier threats. Returning before it is too late allows you to preserve your gains, adjust your build, research new formulas, and prepare for the next journey.

【Wield a Variety of Cards and All 56 Minor Arcana】

Tarot is not mere decoration. It is woven directly into the rules of combat and progression.

You can wield a wide variety of cards and build your deck around the complete set of 56 Minor Arcana. Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles each possess distinct elemental affinities, tactical roles, and symbolic meanings.

Every Minor Arcana card has both an Upright and a Reversed form. These two forms accumulate Attunement independently, advance through separate growth stages, and gradually unlock new branches of effects.

The same card may grant empowering possibilities in one form while revealing a dangerous shadow in the other. To truly master a Tarot card is to understand—and wield—every side of its nature.

【Choose from Twenty-Two Major Arcana Sequences】

Your journey does not always begin with the Fool.

Because you come from another world, you are unbound by its established Sequence system and the karmic ties of its past. This allows you to carry the destinies of different—and sometimes even contradictory—Major Arcana.

You may choose your first path from twenty-two Major Arcana Sequences.

The Fool embodies the unknown, adventure, and limitless possibility. The Magician represents creation, communication, and skill. The High Priestess leads toward wisdom, intuition, and hidden truths. The Emperor pursues order and dominion. Death signifies endings, transformation, and rebirth...

Every Sequence offers its own abilities, potions, rituals, methods of embodiment, and conditions for advancement.

Choosing a Sequence is more than choosing a class.

You must understand it, live by it, and gradually become the archetype embodied by that Major Arcana.

Until at last, you ascend to godhood.

【Freeform Alchemy and Sequence Advancement】

In this world, potions are the path through which mortals enter the supernatural Sequences.

Materials gathered during expeditions possess different elements, medicinal properties, qualities, hidden traits, and potential substitutes.

You are free to select your ingredients and precisely adjust their quantities. Discover synergistic combinations, avoid conflicting properties, or experiment in hopes of triggering unknown effects. The outcome of each brew may also be influenced by the time, weather, location, and your level of alchemical mastery.

Official formulas provide reliable guidance, but they are not necessarily the only—or best—solutions. Through repeated experimentation and careful record-keeping, you can discover superior combinations, uncover hidden proportions, and preserve formulas of your own creation.

Experience and levels are only prerequisites for advancement.

To rise to a higher Sequence, you must also brew and consume the corresponding potion, embody the principles of your path, and complete its required advancement ritual.

Power is never a gift without a price.

The wrong ingredients or proportions may weaken a potion, build up toxicity, waste precious resources, or even cause the drinker to gradually lose their sense of self.

【Ascend to Godhood Twenty-Two Times】

To restore the Archive of Fate, all twenty-two divine seats of the Major Arcana must be recorded once again.

In the past, each seat belonged to a different godlike being. Now, only one heir remains. You must therefore walk all twenty-two Sequences alone.

Choose a Major Arcana Sequence, begin at Sequence 9, and progress through growth, embodiment, potions, and advancement rituals until you finally ascend to godhood.

Whenever you complete a Sequence, the Archive of Fate permanently records its corresponding divine seat.

You must then willingly relinquish the power you have just obtained, fall from godhood back into mortality, and begin the next path at Sequence 9.

The Archive can ensure that surrendering your divinity will not kill you. It cannot spare you from the growth, potions, rituals, and sacrifices required afterward.

You will never wield twenty-two divine powers at once.

What you gain instead is the experience of reaching the summit twenty-two times—and surrendering everything by your own hand each time.

【The Expedition Ends, but Your Legacy Remains】

A single expedition may come to an end, but your growth and legacy will not be erased.

Experience, gold, card collections, Attunement, materials, formulas, abilities, and discovered knowledge all carry over into your long-term progression.

You may continue developing the deck formed during your expedition, or rebuild it entirely and begin your next journey with a completely different strategy.

When you ascend through a Sequence and willingly relinquish its divinity, the corresponding divine seat is permanently preserved within the Archive of Fate.

Expeditions strengthen your character. The Sequence cycle gradually restores the Archive itself.

【Uncover the Truth Behind the Archive’s Fall】

How did the Archive of Fate fall from the greatest supernatural power in the world to a name almost no one remembers?

The Afterglow tells you that the former Keeper once reached Sequence 1 of the World Sequence. Only one final step remained before ascending to godhood and awakening the supreme treasure hidden deep within the Archive.

But word of this achievement was somehow leaked. The Keeper was betrayed and attacked, losing control at the final moment. The Archive of Fate fell into decline soon afterward.

Yet this is not the whole truth.

Who leaked the secret?

Who was truly responsible for the attack?

Why did the Keeper lose control at the final moment?

Have the Afterglow’s memories been altered?

Was the Archive of Fate the victim of a catastrophe—or the force that caused one?

The Afterglow is your first mentor.

It is also a narrator whose every claim must be verified by you.

【Three Wishes】

Deep within the Archive of Fate lies a dormant treasure said to be capable of granting three wishes.

Only after all twenty-two divine seats of the Major Arcana have been recorded can it truly awaken.

The first wish has already been written into the covenant of inheritance: restore the Archive of Fate and return this ancient power, forgotten by the world, to its former glory.

The other two wishes belong to you.

You may use them to return to Earth, undo the regrets of your past, reshape this world, or establish a future entirely different from the Archive of old.

But after ascending to godhood, relinquishing everything, and beginning again twenty-two times, will you still remain the person you once were?
