About This Game

For Our King is a single-player Roguelite Tower Defence x Autobattler built on one idea: Defend the keep against the enemy scum For OUR King!

Order is the mechanic

Between sieges you lay out your Decree Bar. Royal decrees take a place on it, and so do modifiers: flat bonuses, multipliers, and reach extensions. Every modifier only affects what it can actually reach from where you put it.

A multiplier only multiplies what already sits before it. Some modifiers face backwards. Some target other modifiers rather than decrees, so you can amplify the amplifier. A few are greedy enough to eat more than one slot, shrinking the bar you were building. The same handful of pieces in a different order is a different reign.

A Siege You Fight, Not One You Watch

One unbroken encounter. Wave after escalating wave, no dawn to hide behind. Gold comes off the field and goes straight back into it, so the question is never how your soldiers swing, it's who you can afford to call and when you call them.

Your soldiers pick their own targets and hold their own ground. Your mana refills whether you are ready or not. Eight slots, eight hotkeys, every spell on its own cooldown. The army fights itself, while the magic you cast.

Two Schools of Magic, and the King Allows One

Swear a siege to Twin Current or to Iron Doctrine, and the other is closed to you until the next.

Twin Current is arcane and immediate, all pull and pressure and things that should not move moving anyway. Iron Doctrine is industrial and cruel, barrages and minefields and fallout that stays where you left it. Sixteen castable spells across the two, each school with its own palette, its own sound, and its own ultimate that ends arguments.

Decide What Your Soldiers Become

Four unit types, three subclasses each, one choice per type and it's permanent. Naming what your Warriors are is naming what they will never be.

The Keep is a weapon too, with three identities that refuse to share: Rapid Fire, Siege Range, or a Keep that makes anything careless enough to touch it regret the reach.

Declare Your Royal Decrees

Over three hundred nodes across seven disciplines in a massive skill tree, bought with Gems earned in the field. More than a hundred are eligible for your Decree Bar, so the tree is not only what you own. It becomes the vocabulary you get to arrange.

Every save slot keeps its own tree, so a second slot is a different kingdom and not a second copy of the first.

Prestige: burn it down for what was NEVER yours

Some doors never open through honest service. Spend Essence to prestige and raze your entire tree in order to take one of six permanently sealed unlocks in exchange, then climb again carrying something you could not have earned. Each cycle asks for more than the last.

Made by One Person

Every system here was designed, built, broken, measured and rebuilt by a single developer. The order mechanic, the resolver behind it, both schools of magic and every wave were tuned by one person over hundreds of hours.

Hold the line. For OUR King.
