About This Game

Why we made TomoBuddy

We are two developers who wanted pets of our own, but life, rising costs, and
not enough time kept getting in the way. So we made TomoBuddy, a tiny virtual
companion that brings some of the routine, affection, and lovable chaos of
caring for a pet to your desktop.

Adopt a tiny desktop pet. Take care of it. Keep it alive.

Choose from 16 buddies, hatch one from an egg or open its delivery box, and
welcome it into a transparent window on your desktop. Your buddy reacts while
you type, snoozes on your local clock, and depends on you for food, play,
cleanliness, and rest.

The goal is simple: keep your buddy alive

• Watch four real needs. Hunger, happiness, hygiene, and energy decay
  over time. Feed, play with, clean, and rest your buddy before those needs run
  out.
  
• Neglect has consequences. If two needs reach zero, a 10-minute
  warning begins. Recover in time or your buddy will die and join your Memory
  Log.
  
• Nights are protected. Buddies automatically sleep from 10 PM to 7 AM
  on your local clock, so bedtime does not become a punishment.

Your desk, its home

• It reacts while you type. Your buddy bobs along with keystrokes from
  any app. During Mealtime, the words you type become its dinner.
  
• Pet it, move it, care for it. Click and hold for hearts. Drag it
  anywhere on screen and it remembers its spot. Right-click for Feed, Play,
  Clean, and Sleep.
  
• Play between tasks. Feeding Frenzy, Tag, Workout, and Shower cleaning
  turn daily care into quick desktop minigames.

Choose your level of responsibility

• Cozy: Time pauses when TomoBuddy is closed. Enjoy the companionship
  without XP, levels, or away-time pressure.
  
• Devoted: Needs pass in real time, but being away cannot kill your
  buddy. Earn XP, levels, evolution, and increased rewards.
  
• Ironheart: Unlock full daytime stakes for experienced caretakers,
  including stronger rewards and real consequences while you are away.

Grow a collection

• 16 buddies to choose from, including Pugoo, Cooper, Snoozer, Two-Can, Sunflower, Sorry Alpaca, and a porcupine in a very small cape.
  
• Progress in Devoted and Ironheart modes. Earn XP, evolve, collect
  milestone treasures, and unlock a second pet slot at level 5.
  
• Build a useful bag. Earn coins through care and minigames, shop for
  food and supplies, and spot valuable finds by rarity.
  
• Raise more than one buddy. Keep one on your desktop while another
  hangs out in a scene you choose for the Playpen.
  
• Remember the life you shared. Earn achievements and revisit important
  moments in a collapsible life log.

TomoBuddy will keep growing. Upcoming plans include a Wardrobe with collectible
cosmetics for personalizing your buddies, plus new ways to connect and play
with friends. We will share more as each update is ready.
