"Signal 17 Hertz" is a detective visual novel set in Moscow in the late 2000s.

ICQ, music CDs, internet cafés, polyphonic ringtones. The 2000s are an era many people still feel nostalgic for. A time when the glamour of Moscow’s high life existed alongside rundown apartment building entrances, cramped dorm rooms, and stories best left untold.

Roma, a young man from the provinces, arrives in Moscow to make something of himself. A new city, university, dorm mates, and first encounters — it seems like a familiar story about stepping into adulthood. But everything changes when he comes across a series of mysterious audio files. Those who listen to them begin to change, disappear, and sometimes never return at all.

In the demo, you’ll meet the main characters, experience the atmosphere of the world of 17 Hertz, and take your first steps into an investigation that hides something far more sinister beneath the surface. Discover the first mysteries, get a glimpse into the characters’ everyday lives, and try out some of the mechanics that will play a part in the journey ahead.
