What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I want to develop the game alongside its community. Early Access allows players to experience the game while it is still evolving and provide feedback on ship building, combat balance, controls, multiplayer, and future features.

Player feedback will help identify what works, what needs improvement, and where the game should grow as development continues.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 12 to 18 months.

What's playable today is the combat side. You design ships block by block, fly them, and fight with them in multiplayer. What's missing is the layer around it: mining and resources, building up bases, and a conquest mode with a real win condition. Getting that in and properly balanced is what Early Access is for.

It's a small team, so I'd rather take the time to get the strategy layer right than ship it to hit a date. Treat 12 to 18 months as a best guess rather than a promise. If it comes together sooner, it goes out sooner.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version adds:

A singleplayer sandbox where you can mine, pirate and trade.

More blocks and customisation options in the ship designer.

More depth to combat, with more room for play and counter-play.

A working economy in multiplayer to fund your ship building.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes online multiplayer team deathmatch with , a functional ship designer that allows players to create their own warships, and support for battles against bots.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently have no plans to increase the price when AGON PROTOCOL leaves Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will play an important role in shaping AGON PROTOCOL throughout Early Access. Players will be encouraged to share feedback on combat balance, ship systems, and the overall gameplay experience.

We also plan to use community polls to help gauge interest in potential new features and additions. We are open to incorporating community-created assets into the game when they fit the project and are submitted with the proper permissions.”

About This Game

About This Game

AGON PROTOCOL is a multiplayer PvP game focused on small-scale 2v2 and 3v3 skirmishes.

Build your own hull, equip it with different weapon systems, and test your design against other players. You can edit your ship between engagements to adapt to enemy builds and counter the strategies they are using.

Capture logistics zones to keep your team’s ships supplied, maintain pressure on the enemy, and ultimately push them out of the sector.

Space games can become complicated, and I understand that complexity is part of the appeal for many players. My goal is to make the experience simpler and more approachable while keeping as much depth as possible within the combat, shipbuilding, and tactical layers.

AGON PROTOCOL is still a work in progress, and its features, balance, and content will continue to evolve throughout development.
