About This Game

A small rabbit wakes in the terraced rice fields of ancient Japan, with no memory of who it is or how it got there. Mount Fuji rises far in the distance, its peak wrapped in moonlight, a destination the rabbit doesn’t yet understand but somehow already longs for.

Hand-drawn in the style of Japanese woodblock prints, Kintsugi Moon is a quiet journey through a moonlit world, with no combat, just you, the climb, and what you’ve forgotten.

Moonlight is more than light. Outside of it, the rabbit is just a rabbit: small, gentle, and earthbound. Step into moonlight and new paths open up: a second jump, a burst of speed, the push to spring off sheer walls. Offerings left at shrines along the way awaken these gifts. As you climb higher, moonlight grows harder to catch, and patches that once sat still begin to drift, testing your timing as much as your memory.

The road to Fuji. Guided by moonlight and drawn toward shrines scattered across the land, the rabbit begins the ascent through lantern-lit farming villages, misty riverside shrines and ancient cedar forests. Along the way, broken pottery shards hold fragments of memory, waiting to be pieced back together.

Every shard tells a piece of a story. Bring what you find to a fox who repairs each one with gold, using the ancient art of kintsugi. Each completed piece is a memory returned, slowly revealing who you were before you forgot.

Not every part of the mountain is lit. Deep inside an ancient cave, moonlight cannot follow. With every ability stripped away, the rabbit must move quietly through the darkness, past a threat best avoided rather than faced.

By the time you reach the summit, you will have to choose: return to the place you came from, or stay in the world you’ve come to know.
