THE VALLEY HAS GONE SILENT.

For three weeks, the watch at Cindermoor has failed to send its scheduled signal.

No distress call.
No warning.
No survivors returning down the road.

You volunteered to investigate because nobody else was going to.

The Watch Post is an atmospheric dark-fantasy text adventure presented through a fully realized analog CRT television. Type commands, examine abandoned places, collect strange items, and slowly uncover why the relay at Cindermoor stopped answering.

There is no combat and no traditional leveling system. Progress comes from observation, exploration, and the permanent tools you discover along the way.

EXPLORE A CONNECTED, HAND-WRITTEN WORLD

Travel through the abandoned village of Cindermoor, forgotten roads, sealed chambers, underground passages, graveyards, ruined watch posts, and the relay tower looming over the valley.

Each location contains clues about what happened before you arrived—and warnings about what may still be listening.

FINDINGS CHANGE WHERE YOU CAN GO

Discover permanent items(FINDINGS) that unlock new areas and reveal new possibilities:

• The Ember Lantern pushes back unnatural darkness.
  
• The Rusted Key opens paths sealed long ago.
  
• The Silver Bell drives away things that cannot be fought.
  
• The Bone Hook reaches places beyond ordinary paths.
  
• The Bloodroot Charm protects against hostile growth.
  
• The Spectral Blade cuts through more than metal.

These discoveries create exploration-driven, metroidvania-style progression without combat.

The critical path is only part of the story.

Optional lore, hidden rooms, combination locks, deduction puzzles, unusual command interactions, and clues found hours apart reward players who take notes and revisit old locations.

A room that appears empty early in the game may hold something entirely different once you understand what to look for.

CHOOSE HOW THE STORY ENDS

The Hollow Signal has four distinct endings.

What you read, what you carry, what you understand, and whether you decide to continue at all can change the final outcome.

Some endings answer the mystery.

Others may leave the mystery buried.

PLAY THROUGH A LIVING CRT DISPLAY

The entire game is framed inside an interactive old television featuring:

• Phosphor-green terminal text
  
• CRT scanlines and screen distortion
  
• Analog static and electrical hum
  
• Physical power, channel, mute, and volume controls
  
• Typewriter-style text presentation
  
• Green and hidden amber monitor modes
  
• Dynamic audiovisual effects that react to the story

SOMETHING EXISTS BETWEEN THE CHANNELS

The Outpost is presented as a television capable of receiving multiple stories.

Channel 7 contains The Hollow Signal, but thorough players may discover that the television itself remembers more than it should.

Some commands are not listed.

Some transmissions are not meant to be found.

And the signal was never asking for help.
