What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Claimfall's core gameplay loop is already fully playable, but there is still a lot of room to expand its build variety, progression, end-game content, balance and long-term replayability.

Early Access gives me the the opportunity to develop these systems alongside the community. Feedback from players is especially valuable for a game like Claimfall, where small changes to quality-of-life, pacing or progression can significantly improve the final experience and quality of the game.

I want to use Early Access to make Claimfall deeper, more varied and interesting while keeping the core systems intact.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect the Early Access to last around 3-6 months.

This may change depending on development progress and community feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, I am mainly planning to expand the end-game with new mechanics, new areas, new bosses and challanges.

I also plan to explore my long-term vision for the game: expansions. Just like ARPGs, I am planning to expand the game with new content expansions every fixed months, and to determine the size and frequency of these content expansions the Early Access is the perfect time frame.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already contains the campaign of the game and playable end-game content. All the core systems are in place: combat, character progression, skills, passive tree, items, crafting and monsters with various quality-of-life features such as in-game Item Filter editor and keyword explanations that will make the onboarding to the game much more smoother.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Price will slightly increase, around 15-20%.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be an essential part of Claimfall's Early Access development. I will actively read community discussions and evaluate suggestions.

I will regularly share updates and adjust the development priorites as the game evolves with the community.”

About This Game

What is Claimfall

Inspired by modern ARPGs such as Path of Exile and Last Epoch, Claimfall combines deep itemization and buildcrafting with the strategic decision-making of auto-battler and management games.

Manage a lone hero or gather a party of up to five characters. Customize their equipment, skill and passive trees and farm loot across stage-based areas to refine your characters and achieve your power fantasy, or climb high in leaderboards and complete seasonal challenges.

Plan Your Route Through Stage-Based Areas

In Claimfall each area is composed of stages, which can roll different types of content the party can interact with. You can choose the contents you want your party to interact with and in which ways. For example, you can make a boss-rushing farming setup where the party will skip all the stages except the boss-stage and target farm its drops.

Control the Pace of Combat

The pace of the combat depends on a mechanic called Combat Width. Each monster occupies a certain amount of width in the area, while the Combat Width Limit determines how many enemies your party is willing to engage at once. Your party may try to rush the area but your Skills and Defences should be ready to face the danger, or you can take your time and play safe.

Find, Craft and Refine Powerful Items

There are more than 400 pieces of base equipment items, over 50 crafting materials, and more than 100 Skill and Support Emblems to discover and combine. To help the player with the management of dropped items, Claimfall includes an in-game Custom Loot Filter interface.

Transform Skills with Support Emblems

Active skills are equipped through Skill Emblems. Each skill has its own mechanics and how the skill is used by the characters can be modified to forge the most suitable behaviour for your strategy. The number of Support Emblems a Character can use to empower its Active Skills is dependent on the Resonance Capacity of the character. Each Support emblem uses either Strength, Dexterity or Intelligence Resonance.

Define Characters Through the Passive Tree

Claimfall features an expansive Passive Tree with over 150 Nodes and 400 Levels.
