Homunculus: The Little One in the Flask is a character simulation game about digital life, limited intervention, and continuous stories.

Create your own Homunculus and define its name, age, personality, occupation, history, and place in the world. It is more than a static profile: these details shape how it understands its surroundings, expresses emotion, and makes decisions.

Set an ambitious objective or throw the character into an unexpected event. Each time you advance the journey, the Homunculus acts according to its personality, established memories, and current circumstances. Its story unfolds through stages, clues, reversals, successes, and failures. Only the Creator decides whether the objective has truly been reached.

You may send an Oracle at key moments, but you cannot control the character without limits. An Oracle can be accepted, adapted, or refused, changing the Homunculus's loyalty to its Creator. Neglect, coercion, and commands that violate its identity may weaken the contract; understanding, support, and respect may bring the two of you closer.

Outside the journey, you can speak directly with the character, read its diaries, and let it converse with local characters or personalities shared through the server. Recent conversations and major events remain part of its memory, allowing later reactions to continue what has already happened.

The game supports Simplified Chinese and English. Dynamically generated content requires an internet connection and Steam authentication, and the same character setup may lead to different outcomes across playthroughs.
