Uncle Karl is gone. His garage is yours now.

He left behind a run-down backstreet garage, a stack of debts, and a dream he never finished. The garage door sticks, the lights flicker, and decades of oil stains cover the floor. Customers still find their way into the courtyard—but earning their trust is now up to you.

Listen. Test. Decide.

Customers arrive with symptoms, not ready-made answers. Inspect each car and narrow the problem down to faults in the engine, brakes, exhaust, or lights. Every test gives you more certainty, but it also uses valuable time from the working day.

Keep testing until you are sure—or trust your hunch and commit to a diagnosis. A correct call builds your reputation and leaves the customer satisfied. A wrong guess immediately costs time and reputation.

Prepare the quote

Once you have diagnosed the problem, choose whether to quote for the main fault or include additional work, then set your price. A cheaper quote is easier to accept; a higher one earns more if the customer agrees. Budgets, patience, personality, and your reputation all influence the decision.

Do the work yourself

You carry out every job you accept. Fetch the part from the storeroom, raise the car on the lift, and work through the repair step by step. Complete jobs, get paid, invest in the garage, and make every working day count.

• Towing service – a call comes in and you decide whether the trip is worth it. On site you negotiate: repair it, buy the car outright, strip it for parts, or fix it up and sell it on
  
• Uncle Karl's project car – the covered dream car behind the garage, finished piece by piece
  
• A bigger garage – more lifts, more parking spaces, and real stock management
