About This Game

Apparently an Apprentice Alchemist is a short incremental game about turning humble materials into increasingly extraordinary ones.

Enter the workshop, wield your wand, and practice alchemy on the materials scattered around you. Transform common stones, herbs, gems, and liquids into higher-tier materials, earn Knowledge, and use what you learn to become a better alchemist.

TURN SIMPLE MATERIALS INTO SOMETHING MORE

Each research run lasts three minutes. Use your wand to perform alchemy, raise materials through their tiers, and seek out increasingly valuable discoveries. Choose specialized locations when you need more of a particular kind of material.

STUDY. RESEARCH. GRADUATE.

Knowledge earned through alchemy can be invested in permanent upgrades. As your studies advance, research papers give you new goals to pursue and help carry your academic career forward.

Begin as an undergraduate, earn your degrees, complete your doctoral work, and eventually become a professor.

BUILD YOUR RESEARCH CAREER

Your work doesn't end with a degree. Establish a research lab, hire a research assistant, and make use of increasingly powerful ways to practice alchemy as your career develops.
