About This Game

Yankii Zuwari is a rowdy retro beat ’em up about school gangs, street brawls, and fighting for reputation. Beat up local punks, learn new moves, grow stronger, and challenge those who think they own these streets.

Play as Takuma, a cocky truant who returns to school after being away for an entire year and almost immediately finds himself in trouble again. For him, it’s just another day. For everyone else, everything is only beginning.

School uniforms, cocky upperclassmen, and endless brawls. Here, reputation is earned with your fists, while new conflicts constantly break out between street punks, local gangs, and self-proclaimed big shots. Don’t expect long negotiations: if the situation gets out of control, it’s time to put your fists to work.

In some episodes, Takuma hops on a motorcycle, and his usual walks through streets, parks, and alleyways give way to a breezy ride. Pick up speed, maneuver around obstacles, and try to reach your destination in one piece without losing control along the way. So you can give someone a good punch again, of course.

School corridors give way to park paths, alleyways, subway stations, and bustling city districts. Prove your superiority, keep moving forward, and leave one neighborhood after another behind. Make your way through the entire city and leave behind a story that’s hard to forget. You don’t become a legend by staying in one place.

Regular brawlers are a warm-up for the real challenge. Make your way to the bosses, learn their moves, and be ready for opponents who won’t go down after a couple of hits. Adapt to their style, use everything you’ve learned, keep your cool when it matters most, and prove that Takuma is the one worthy of being called the champion of the streets.
