What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“ Chaos Football Club is a physics-driven arcade football game, and in a game like
this the feel is the product: ball physics, wall-bounce angles, AI behaviour,
special-power balance and difficulty pacing all live or die by real players
stress-testing them in ways a small team never can.

The game is already fully playable — 7v7 matches with wall-bounce physics, a
story campaign (Road to Glory), a three-division career mode with promotion and
relegation, local couch multiplayer, interactive tutorials and unlockable
cosmetics. Early Access is how we tune and grow it with the people playing it:
every balance patch, new club, stadium, game mode and quality-of-life change
during Early Access will be shaped by player feedback and real match data.

We are committed to seeing Chaos Football Club through to 1.0 and beyond: we
plan to ship regular updates throughout Early Access [state your cadence, e.g.
"a content or balance update roughly every 4–6 weeks"], respond to feedback in
the community hub, and publish patch notes for every update. Early Access is
not a demo or an abandoned-risk build for us — it is the development model for
finishing the game properly.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect PITCH RIOT to be in Early Access for roughly 9–12 months, targeting release around mid-2027. The remaining work covers the full club and stadium roster, additional game modes, story mode chapters, expanded special powers, and a final balance and polish pass across ball physics and controller feel. Development timelines can shift, particularly based on what players prioritise during Early Access, and we will update our roadmap and post an announcement if that estimate changes significantly.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We also plan to add multiplayer, more fun match types, unlockables, and extra customisation options. All of this will depend on the community continuing to support the game and share feedback with us.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the game offers a fun and complete single-player experience, where you can create your own team, fully customise your characters, and enjoy exciting matches.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to increase the price once the main features are more polished, but not by too much since this is a small project. For now, our focus is on making the game fun, listening to the community, and seeing what players think.

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback directly decides what we build. Our primary channel is the Steam Community Hub discussions, where we read and respond regularly. Balance and game feel are the areas where player input has the most impact — ball physics, AI difficulty, special-power tuning and controller feel are all adjusted based on player reports and match feedback. When we plan updates such as new clubs, stadiums, cosmetics, game modes or story chapters, we post the options and let the community vote on what comes first. We maintain a pinned bug-report thread where every confirmed issue is tracked publicly, and fixes are credited in the patch notes. Every update ships with full patch notes, and we post regular development updates to the store news feed so players can see where the game is heading and weigh in before changes land.”

About This Game

Chaos Football Club throws two teams of seven into a walled arena where the sidelines bounce the ball straight back into play. There are no throw-ins and no cards here — just fast, end-to-end action built around wall passes, ricochet goals, and charged shots off the glass.

Key Features

  • 7v7 matches (GK + 2 DEF + 2 MID + 2 ATT) on a walled arena, with 3-minute matches

  • Physics-driven ball with wall bounces, deflections, dribble assist, and charged shots

  • Special powers with cooldowns: Shield, Super Shot, and Dash

  • Knockout tackles that floor opponents for a couple of seconds

  • Role-based AI covering pressing, marking, forward runs, and keeper distribution

  • 4 formations and 5 live tactics, ranging from defensive to full-on pressing

  • Corners and goal kicks with a last-touch rule, plus golden goal in knockout matches

  • Wall Goal bonus XP when the ball clips a wall before scoring

  • A World Cup tournament with 8 fictional teams, 2 groups, semis, and a final

  • Persistent progression: XP, levels, upgrade points, gold, stat upgrades, and ball-trail cosmetics

Choose from eight teams — Solar Kingdom, Frostland FC, Neo Brazilia, Iron Albion, Crimson Italia, Dragon Japan, Emerald Isles, and Cyber Germany — each with its own identity, stat biases, and preferred formation.
