Why Early Access?

“We want to develop Kachow Kart Racing together with the players. The game currently offers the core arcade kart racing experience, with a playable foundation built around key systems such as AI opponents, split-screen gameplay, online ranked races, garage upgrades, boosters, and in-race abilities.

During Early Access, our goal is to make this foundation stronger, more balanced, and more fun. With player feedback, we plan to improve the driving feel, drift and boost balance, in-race abilities, track flow, online competition, and the overall race pace.

In kart racing games, even small balance changes can have a major impact on how each race feels. That is why we want to grow Kachow Kart Racing together with player feedback instead of finishing it entirely behind closed doors. Throughout Early Access, we will add new content, fix issues, improve the gameplay experience, and prepare the game for its full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan for Kachow Kart Racing to remain in Early Access for approximately 3 months. During this period, we aim to improve the driving feel, drift and boost balance, online ranked system, in-race abilities, track flow, and overall race pace based on player feedback.

This timeframe may change depending on feedback during development and technical improvements. Our goal is not to rush the game to full release, but to use a short and productive Early Access period to deliver a more balanced, more enjoyable, and stronger kart racing experience.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version of Kachow Kart Racing, we plan to make the core racing experience from the Early Access version richer, more balanced, and more complete.

In the full version, we aim to add more tracks, more characters, new kart options, additional in-race abilities, improved visual effects, better animations, a more balanced drift/boost system, and a more polished online ranked experience.

We also plan to add a room creation system and co-op / private race rooms for the full version, allowing players to create their own races with friends, race together, and enjoy a more social racing experience.

In addition, we aim to work on a fan system to strengthen the racing atmosphere. We want to create a livelier track environment, with spectators reacting to races and a more energetic overall racing atmosphere.

Based on player feedback, we also plan to improve track flow, AI opponents, race pace, the garage upgrade system, and the overall user experience. Our goal is to deliver a more content-rich, smoother, more social, and more competitive arcade kart racing experience in the full version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Kachow Kart Racing aims to provide a playable core arcade kart racing experience. Players will be able to race on colorful tracks, use drift and boost mechanics, collect boosters on the track, and use in-race abilities to gain advantages over their opponents.

The Early Access version will include single-player races, gameplay against AI opponents, split-screen races on the same screen, online ranked mode, a garage system, different characters, kart options, and a track progression system.

During races, players will be able to use abilities such as smoke bombs, shields, and oil traps, trying to win not only through speed but also through good timing. This version will provide a playable foundation that delivers the game’s main racing loop, competitive feel, and arcade kart racing pace.

Throughout Early Access, we will continue improving the driving feel, drift and boost balance, track flow, online ranked experience, AI behavior, visual effects, animations, user interface, and overall game balance.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan for Kachow Kart Racing to be priced at a more affordable level during Early Access. As the game moves closer to full release and new tracks, characters, kart options, in-race abilities, the room creation system, co-op / private race rooms, the fan system, and general content improvements are added, the price may increase.

Players who support the game during Early Access will be able to join the development process earlier and at a more affordable price. At full release, we plan to re-evaluate the pricing based on the amount of content and the features added during development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Based on community feedback, we aim to fix bugs, make balance adjustments, and identify which parts of the game are the most fun or need further improvement. Player experiences will help us prioritize planned content such as new tracks, characters, abilities, the room creation system, co-op / private race rooms, and the fan system.

We plan to collect feedback through the Steam Community page, reviews, discussions, and social media channels.”
