A shogi where you don't capture — you grind them down.

Damage Shogi rebuilds traditional shogi around HP, Attack and Defense. Pieces no longer fall in one hit. You chip away their HP, and only defeat them when it reaches zero. Damage is randomized, and an attacked piece may

strike back. Every square becomes a gamble.

Three actions a turn — dense, deliberate play.

Instead of one move, you take three actions per turn. Move in, corner them, and strike — or drop a piece, defend, and wait for your moment. How you sequence three actions decides the game.

Tune the luck yourself.

Damage variance, counter success rate, actions per turn, randomness on/off — the rules are yours. Go for pure skill, or embrace swingy comebacks. You can even edit each piece's HP, Attack and Defense individually.

A CPU with real bite — and friends around the world.

Four CPU tiers: Weak / Normal / Strong / Expert. The Expert AI plays like a human — lying in wait just outside range, then cutting down anyone who steps in with a three-action burst. Play friends online via friend invite /

room code, with reconnection support.

Generative AI (Anthropic Claude) was used during development to write game code, to create the BGM (note data transcribed from a public-domain piece by Debussy and procedurally generated music), and to compose store artwork from in-game assets. No content is generated by AI at runtime.
