„We're releasing Backrooms With Friends! in Early Access because it's a game built around exploring an ever-expanding, procedurally generated liminal space, and we want that expansion to be shaped by the people actually playing it. Early Access lets us get the core gameplay loop into players' hands now, gather feedback on level design, difficulty, and multiplayer experience, and use that feedback to guide what we build next.“

„We expect Backrooms With Friends to be in Early Access for approximately 1-2 years. Enough time to expand the level roster, refine multiplayer stability, and act on community feedback before a full launch.“

„We plan to add more procedurally generated levels, including ones requested by the community. We also plan to introduce character customization options, and we're looking at expanding features like different game modes, matchmaking and level progression systems. Our overall goal is to grow the game's scope well beyond the current 4 levels while keeping the core exploration and multiplayer experience intact. As with any Early Access title, plans may evolve based on player feedback and testing.“
