About This Game

You took a wrong turn. Your car broke down. You found a house with the lights still on. You sat down, and you turned on the TV. That was your first mistake.

The Wyoming Incident is a first-person psychological horror game from Veraxic Games, inspired by the infamous creepypasta of the same name.

SYNOPSIS

Something happened in this valley in 1982. The residents were gone overnight. The military never talked about it. The valley was never officially acknowledged. And whatever was left behind has been running ever since.

You didn't come here looking for answers. You just needed a detour. But now your car is dead, the town is empty, and the television is on. The broadcast has already started. The only question now is how much of yourself you can hold onto before it's done with you.

SURVIVE THE BROADCAST

The Wyoming Incident is built around one core threat: your sanity. The longer you stay in the valley, the more it costs you. Visuals distort. Audio warps. Your grip on what's real starts to slip. Find Therapy Tapes scattered throughout the valley to hold yourself together, because hitting zero isn't something you come back from.

EXPLORE A VALLEY FULL OF SECRETS

The abandoned valley is yours to explore freely. Dig through the remains of whatever life used to exist here. Find documents, letters, and journal entries left behind by people who came before you, and piece together what really happened. Nothing is handed to you. The story rewards those who look.

FACE WHAT'S INSIDE THE SIGNAL

Corrupted televisions are scattered throughout the valley, each one connected to a radio tower. Getting inside them is the only way to shut them down. Each TV pulls you into its own distorted minigame, different every time, and getting through it is harder than it sounds when something inside is trying to stop you.

CHOICES HAVE CONSEQUENCES

How you play determines how it ends. Your sanity at key moments, and the decisions you make along the way, lead to one of six distinct endings. Some of them are stranger than others. None of them are particularly comforting.

Content Warning: The Wyoming Incident contains strobing and flashing lights, themes of psychological horror, disturbing imagery, strong language, and content that may be distressing to some players. Player discretion is advised.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

The Wyoming Incident contains the following mature content:
Strong language is used throughout the game in protagonist dialogue and written documents. The game contains themes of psychological horror, paranoia, and mental health deterioration as core gameplay mechanics. Players will encounter a corpse (a character who died by suicide, whose body has been hanging for decades) and can find written letters describing their mental state leading up to their death. One of the game's six endings depicts a character implying they are about to take their own life through an overdose following a traumatic experience. The game also contains intense strobing, flashing lights, and persistent visual distortion that may be distressing to some players.
