Why Early Access?

“Farhaven is a game built around playing together, and we believe the best way to make a great multiplayer game is to build it alongside the people who play it. Early Access gives us the opportunity to learn how different groups of friends explore, build, adventure, and create together, and to use that feedback as we add content, improve the experience, and prepare Farhaven for its full release.

Part of our design philosophy at Dragon Snacks Games is to involve our players at every step of development. We've had players in our game since August 2025, and Early Access is the next step for us in listening to your feedback and creating a game that we build together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the game will be in Early Access for approximately twelve months. The exact timing may change based on development progress and community feedback. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to continue expanding Farhaven with additional adventures, characters, quests, items, recipes, building and decorating options, and other content, while continuing to improve balance, usability, performance, and the overall player experience. Player feedback during Early Access will also help us determine where to focus our development efforts on the road to 1.0.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Farhaven's core gameplay systems are implemented and playable, including persistent private multiplayer worlds, exploration and combat, crafting, farming, fishing, building and decorating, character progression, quests, and relationships with townsfolk. Players can create a town with friends and progress together through the game's interconnected systems. During Early Access, our focus will be on adding significantly more content, improving usability and balance, polishing the experience, and responding to player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We're not planning to change the price when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback has been part of Farhaven's development from the beginning, and that will continue throughout Early Access. We'll actively gather feedback through Steam discussions, Discord, surveys, playtests, and direct conversations with players. We'll pay particular attention to how groups of friends experience Farhaven together, including progression, balance, multiplayer usability, and which activities and content they most enjoy. We'll share regular development updates and use what we learn from the community to help prioritize improvements and new content.”
