Deepforge Brawl is a dwarven arena roguelite where your weapons fire themselves — you just have to survive. Charge your beard, chug your ale, and dash through goblin hordes across six depths of the mountain. Forge builds from 13 auto-firing weapons, evolve them, and descend until the Maw takes you.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Deepforge Brawl is a complete, balanced game today - but arena roguelites live and die on tuning, and the best tuning data is thousands of real players' runs. Early Access lets the community shape the balance curve, the meta-progression pacing, and which new weapons/classes/depths come next.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Roughly 6-12 months, driven by content milestones rather than a calendar date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more weapons, enemy archetypes, and at least one new class and boss, plus expanded meta-progression. The core loop - six classes, 13 weapons, six depths, endless mode, full meta and cosmetics - is playable and complete in EA today.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Feature-complete and stable: all six classes, 13 evolving weapons, 14 enemy types, 4 two-phase bosses, six depths + endless, full meta-progression (Runeworks, Forge Mastery, pacts) and a cosmetics collection. Balanced through thousands of simulated and scripted runs plus human tuning.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are not planning on changing the price when we leave early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Balance feedback and run data drive the tuning; feature votes on the Steam forums will steer the content roadmap between milestones.”

About This Game

The mountain is angry. Your beard is ready.

Deepforge Brawl is a top-down arena auto-shooter roguelite: your weapons aim and fire on their own, so every decision is about POSITION and BUILD. Kite the horde, grab the ore, and shape a run out of whatever the Forge offers between waves.

Six dwarves, six beards

Every class carries a signature Beard Power that charges in combat and unleashes on demand — the fuller the beard, the bigger the blast. Wall off the swarm with the Ironbreaker's orbiting bucklers, flood the floor with the Brewmaster's ale, or trigger the Prospector's Motherlode and watch the ore fountain. Plus: Ale Rage when you need to hit harder, Forge Dash when you need to not die.

  • 13 auto-firing weapons — merge duplicates to tier them up; every weapon EVOLVES at top tier
  • Burn, Chill and Shock the horde — combine afflictions to SHATTER frozen enemies or arc lightning through the pack
  • 14 enemy archetypes with real jobs: menders that sustain the swarm, drummers that harden it, sappers that mortar your camping spot, coin goblins that flee with your gold
  • 4 bosses, each with a pattern-flipping second phase
  • Six depths of escalating difficulty — then ENDLESS mode to see how deep your build really goes
  • The Runeworks: permanent meta-progression, opt-in curse pacts for the brave, and a Forge Hall full of trophies and cosmetics to earn

Runs that respect your time

Waves are 40 seconds. A run is 20 minutes. A "one more run" spiral is the whole evening. You always walk away with Runestones toward the next unlock, whether the Maw ate you or you ate the Maw.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Some 2D art (sprites, icons, key art) was generated with a locally run image model, then hand-curated and edited by the developer. Sound effects and music were generated with local audio models and hand-picked. Everything shipped was reviewed by a human; the game performs no AI generation at runtime.
