About This Game

Boot it. Break it. Score higher.

A roguelike deckbuilder that runs on a dying retro desktop. Insert floppy discs, stack CDs into drivers, and flood the screen with windows until the machine can't keep up.

Breaking the game and crashing the system are the same move.

Your deck is a box of floppy discs

Every disc carries a type and opens a window when it's played. Windows are what score: the bigger the window, the bigger the payout.

Discs come in five types and can be upgraded, duplicated or expanded, and the order you slot them into the board decides how the whole hand resolves.

Drivers decide when. CDs decide what.

A driver is a trigger with no effect. A CD is an effect with no trigger. Slot one into the other and you've built a rule that fires on its own.

"Whenever a window opens." "At the end of every turn." "Every third disc played." Pair the right trigger with the right payload and a single hand starts running itself.

Choose the rules before you play them

Before every round you pick one of three boards, and the board owns the rule for how your discs trigger.

Five slots that fire once. Three slots that fire four times if every disc matches. A board that rewrites the second disc into a copy of the first. The board you take shapes the deck you want.

Crash it upward

Nothing here is balanced against you. Drivers feed CDs, CDs reopen windows, windows trigger more drivers, and a hand you thought was finished keeps going.

The best runs end with a screen you can't read and a score you didn't plan.

Between rounds

Spend what you earned: buy drivers and CDs off the shelf, crack open packs for a pick of three, reroll when the shop doesn't cooperate, and sell what stopped pulling its weight.

Every round raises the target. Boss rounds change the rules entirely.
