Om dette spil

ENGLISH

Sit down as friends. Leave as enemies.

Backstabbers is a 4-player online social strategy card game where players start as friends and end as enemies—playing not only with cards, but with their friendships.

Form temporary alliances. Turn your rivals against each other. Ruin their plans. Take revenge. And when victory is within reach, don't hesitate to betray the player who was standing beside you only minutes ago.

Because in Backstabbers, even your most trusted ally can become your biggest enemy on the very next turn.

Don't just play your cards. Play the table.

Playing the strongest card isn't always the strongest move.

You need to read who's ahead, who's waiting for revenge, who you can trust, and whether your next move will make you the table's newest target.

Sending a penalty to another player doesn't just change the score—it can create a new enemy.

Stopping someone's big move doesn't just remove their advantage—it can start a revenge chain that lasts for several turns.

Redirecting a target at the last second can destroy an alliance that took minutes to build.

Every mechanical decision has a social consequence.

Cards change the outcome. Players change the story.

You have a plan. So does everyone else.

Special cards can completely reshape the balance of power.

Gather information about your rivals, steal cards, shift advantages, move penalty piles, and interfere with other players' plans.

And just when someone thinks their move is guaranteed, reaction cards such as Counter and Redirect can turn everything around.

You may have calculated everything.

Chosen the perfect target.

Played the perfect card at exactly the right moment.

Then someone at the table can ruin the entire plan with a single response.

Some of Backstabbers' best moments happen when the player who thought they controlled the table suddenly realizes they control nothing.

Make alliances. Just don't get attached.

There are no permanent teams in Backstabbers.

That doesn't stop players from creating them.

Work together to stop the player in the lead. Promise not to attack each other. Agree on a common target.

But only one player can win.

And as the end of the match gets closer, every promise becomes increasingly negotiable.

The player standing beside you this turn may be the final obstacle between you and victory a few minutes later.

Every friend group creates a different table.

Backstabbers' replayability isn't driven only by card variety.

It's driven by people.

Some players retaliate against anyone who attacks them and try to maintain balance at the table.

Some stay quiet, avoid making enemies, and wait for the perfect moment.

Some manipulate the table through conversation.

Some remember a single bad move for the entire match and build everything around revenge.

And some would rather destroy a friend's perfect plan than make the mathematically correct move.

The same cards can create completely different stories depending on who's holding them.

15–20 minutes can change everything.

At the beginning of a match, the first alliances begin to form.

Then targets shift, promises are made, old attacks are remembered, and quiet players become increasingly dangerous.

As the final turns approach, the player in the lead can suddenly become everyone's problem.

Eventually, someone wins.

The card game may be over.

The argument usually isn't.

“You promised.”

“I didn't even attack you.”

“I would've won if you hadn't done that.”

Then another match begins.

Same players.

Completely different table.
