About This Game

The drums spin. The dice fall. Deep below, someone is already betting on your death.

Path of the Damned — a grim fantasy roguelike where the dungeon is conquered not by hotbar skills, but by a slot machine. Every combat turn is a spin: four reels pull symbols from your battle deck. Swords, shields, potions, poisons, bombs, and wilds transform into attacks, armor, gold, and curses. Matching symbols trigger jackpots — shifting the tide of battle in your favor… or your enemy's.

This isn't a "single permanent deck" affair. The campaign unfolds across a world map and regional maps: you travel from location to location, embark on floor-based runs, barter, pray, pick locks, and sometimes stumble into roadside ambushes. Clearing a floor returns you to the region with your spoils. Death sends you back to the last Altar of Repose. Souls, keys, items, and afflictions all remember who you were before your fall.

Forge your hero for the reels: choose a name, gender, and Class. Fill your inventory with gear — and keep spinning until your luck runs out.

• A brutal campaign where every death tears your soul apart. You have only a limited number of attempts to achieve 100% completion. Fail, and you start over from scratch!

• This game isn't about perfect parries, dodges, or masterful weaponplay! Character management is your true challenge — and surviving a battle is the reward for your efforts.

• Leveling up is an art form in itself! The game features an extensive skill tree that lets you advance your chosen class along a direct path or branch out into the specialties of other classes!

• Combat begins in your inventory! Your backpack is your primary tool! It’s a spatial puzzle mechanic where you must fit as many items as possible into limited grid space — because those very items will fuel your battles!

• This world is both cursed and blessed! Curses, afflictions, diseases — you WILL inevitably contract them all during your journey. BUT! They can be cured! The kindly Sisters of the Monastery will gladly heal you... and bestow blessings too — for a price, of course!

• Time is money! Merchants are sure to cross your path! Don’t hesitate to stop by and browse their wares. You never know when you might find that one game-changing item that turns your entire run upside down!

• Altar of Repose — Soothe your soul, and the world around you shall shift! These checkpoints not only allow you to level up but also refresh the world itself, transporting you into a parallel reality of existence.

• Left to chance! As you traverse this cursed realm, you’ll never know what lies ahead. Random events, ambushes, hidden treasures — tread carefully!

• Combat beyond your control! A gambling-based combat system where luck is the only lifeline you have left to cling to!

In this world, luck is no gift. It’s a wager the dungeon accepts only in full.

You may raise your shield in the battle line and still catch the executioner’s swing. You may pick a bone-locked chest only to hear the lock laugh back. You may reach the altar and realize that while your body can be saved, not every choice you made along the way can be preserved.

Spin. Aim. Count the shards.

When the reels stop, someone in the darkness has already recorded the outcome.
