What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Murdoku is a deduction game built around one thing: cases that are fair, tricky, and genuinely satisfying to crack. The best way to get that right is with real detectives playing. Early Access lets us put the game in players' hands, watch which cases land and which fall flat, and tune the difficulty, clues, and pacing around actual feedback instead of guesswork. As a small studio, that direct loop with the community is worth more to us than shipping in the dark.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to stay in Early Access for roughly 3 to 6 months. Our aim is to leave once the campaign feels complete and polished, the free-play mode is deep and stable, and player feedback tells us the experience is where it should be. We'd rather leave when the game is ready than rush a date.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to grow Murdoku well beyond its Early Access shape. Our goals for the full version include:

A longer, fully-realized noir campaign with more cases and richer story chapters.
A wider variety of clue types and case setups to keep deduction fresh.
More languages, quality-of-life features, and accessibility options.
We're also exploring an online multiplayer mode and Streamer mode.
These are our intentions and priorities, and the community's feedback during Early Access will help shape which ideas we push furthest.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Murdoku is already fully playable. The current version includes a guided tutorial, the story campaign 'Operación Claustro Negro' following detective Arthur Vance across a full set of hand-crafted cases, and an endless free-play mode with procedurally generated cases in multiple difficulties. It features the complete noir presentation, cinematic story chapters, a case diary, and a final mystery to solve. Every case is verified to have a single, logically provable solution. It is a complete, self-contained experience — not a demo — that we intend to keep expanding.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to raise the price modestly as we add substantial new content and features over the course of Early Access. Players who join early will get the game at its lowest price and receive all updates as they arrive.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community is at the center of how we plan to develop Murdoku. We'll be active on the Steam forums and Discussions, reading feedback on case difficulty, clue clarity, and story. There's a built-in feedback tool in the game so players can reach us directly. We plan to use this input to tune existing cases, prioritize new features, and shape the road to the full release. If a case feels unfair or a clue reads wrong, we want to hear it — and fix it.”

About This Game

DEADLY MURDOKU
