Lockey

Lockey is a 2D top-down action roguelike where you wield a key to seal enemies that have rejected death and press deeper into the kingdom.

Break Through the Lock Kingdom

Humanity rejected death and transformed into locks that can never be closed. You enter the Lock Kingdom to seal them away.

Travel from the kingdom’s underground depths into the castle, sealing the soldiers and knights who guard the king. Grow stronger through battle and make your way toward the heart of the kingdom.

Seal, Don’t Kill

Enemies have a Seal Power gauge instead of health.

Build Seal Power with basic attacks and Engraving Skills, then seal enemies once their gauges are full. When several enemies become sealable at the same time, use Chain Seal to dash between them and seal them in rapid succession.

Sealing enemies grants experience and fills the shared Engraving Gauge. Once the gauge is full, use one of your equipped Engraving Skills to change the course of battle.

Choose a Different Path Each Run

Choose your next route and target reward from the node map in each chapter. The stages you encounter and the direction of your growth will change depending on the path you take.

Entering a node takes you into a stage where the arrangement of rooms and routes to explore changes each time. Clear combat rooms, find the room containing your chosen reward, and locate the passage to the next stage.

Some stages contain special objectives that offer an additional reward. Complete the objective to receive the reward from your chosen node one more time.

Build Your Run with the Rewards You Find

After reaching an item node’s reward room or sealing a boss, choose one item from a random selection.

Collecting the same item again raises its rarity. Effects gained at previous rarities remain active while new effects are added, so the items you choose to stack will shape the direction of your build.

When you level up, you can strengthen one of your equipped Engraving Skills. Develop the greatsword’s powerful close-range attacks or the staff’s ranged attacks, and shape a fighting style that suits you.

When you fall in battle, your chosen route, items, levels, and Engraving upgrades are reset. On your next run, choose a different path and set of rewards to create a new build.
