About This Game

A war that burned the sky red

Long ago, when the sky burned red, the Iron Legion and the alliance of humankind fought for the continent. At the heart of that war stood two people: the knight Rockefeller and the battle mage Kael. This story begins with them.

Soul Monsters: The Machine Kingdom and the Lich Queen is a side-scrolling action RPG told across 75 stages, with hand-drawn dark-fantasy art and animated cinematics.

Side-scrolling action combat

• Fight with combos, dodges, jumps and fighting-game command moves (↓↘→ + Attack).
  
• Every hero has an ultimate and two special moves with their own effects.
  
• Dodge right as an enemy strikes for a Just Dodge, break guards with heavy moves, and push your combo count for a higher rank.

Four heroes, one truth

Play the intertwined stories of Kain, Johanna, Rockefeller and Kael. Their roads converge on a single buried truth, and rival duels, trials and boss fights are marked by animated cinematics.

Explore the field

Walk the map, clash with the enemies you run into, and enter inner areas to gather the seal fragments that open the way forward.

Card skills

After each victory, pick a card and add it to your skill deck. Build a different fighting style for every hero.

Easy to start

The first battle teaches moving, combos, dodging, jumping, skills and command moves one step at a time. The full move list is always in the pause menu.
