About This Game

Joint Venture is a cozy cannabis farming sim where you turn a rundown backyard into a thriving farm, with Jay and Silent Bob around to help.

Their weed sucks, and you’re pretty sure you can grow something better. Starting with some old tools and a handful of seeds, you’ll build up your farm and experiment with crossbreeding to find out what each new strain can do. There’s a whole town to get to know beyond the backyard, and growing the right weed might just get you somewhere with the locals.

That sad backyard has room for something better. Grow your first crop and sell your harvest to fund improvements that let you do more with the place. New buildings and tools help you refine your operation, while furniture and decorations make it feel like home. How far you take it is up to you.

Crossbreed cannabis plants to discover new genetics and find out what their effects can do. Experiment with combinations that catch your interest, then put your discoveries to use in your next crop. When someone around town needs a particular effect, you’ll have a reason to try something different.

Strange requests and funny missions draw you into the lives of the people around town. Helping them builds friendships that move the story forward, giving you more to discover as you get to know each other. Those relationships can open up new places and give you access to strains and farm upgrades. Your neighbors have a part in how your farm grows, too.

Familiar faces and locations bring the atmosphere of Kevin Smith’s ’90s comedies into your adventure, with character stories to discover even if this is your first visit to their world. Explore the town for resources and new growing habitats. You can even cast a fishing line into Leonardo’s dumpsters to see what people have thrown away. Some of it belongs on your farm.

There’s no pressure to rush and no fail state waiting for you to get something wrong. Spend an afternoon experimenting with a strain or getting your farm looking the way you want it. The town will still be there when you feel like heading out. You have room to follow your curiosity and enjoy what you’re building.
